The purpose of this tutorial will be to demonstrate the functions of the Objective editor. I will be setting up the objective editor using the objectives that I outlined in the introduction portion of the tutorial. Once IGOR is open and you have it all set up, open up the mission that we are creating. Go up to the Script menu and select Objectives... from the list as pictured below:

This will bring up the Objective Editor as pictured below:

This is a small and simple to use editor. The window is broken down into a couple of areas.
The List View displays all of the objectives that are currently added into the game. There are two arrow buttons on the left used for scrolling through the list.Another use is you can select a listed objective, use the arrows to reposition their order.
Click on this button to add a new objective to the mission.
Click on this button to assign a tag to the objective.
It brings up the Set Name Window as displayed below:

I usually assign this first after clicking the new button. It is used for referencing within the Script Editor. TIP: After assigning your tag, highlight the text, right-click on it and select copy. It'll save a few keystrokes in a few moments...
This button will delete the currently selected objective.
Remember that tip from above? Highlight the text in this window, right-click and select Paste from the pop-up menu. (I just save you a few seconds so you didn't have to take your hand off of the mouse...) The text window is what is displayed in the objectives list in game. Keep them short or they will get cut off and won't be displayed properly. It will then have an unprofessional look.
Check this box if you desire the objective to be displayed in the Objectives List during runtime.
This closes the Objectives Editor.
You may have more than four objectives in your mission as long as you keep the following in mind: You may only have four objectives displayed in the objectives list simultaneously. If you don't follow this rule, well.... You'll find out...
Here is a screen shot of what the window will look like after one objective has been added:

Here is a screen shot of what the Editor should look like after all of the objectives have been added.

For purposes of this tutorial, I will have all of them added prior to the game starting. You already know what I'm doing so what's the surprise? So go ahead and check that box to add each objective to the game prior to start.
Finally click on the Close button since we are done here for this mission.
